MELSTAR blow-through rotary valve serve as an interface between mechanical and pneumatic conveying system. Their main benefit is a patented solution for pulsation-free feeding of material into pneumatic conveying lines.

The materials to be conveyed are primarily alternative fuels, where MELKOV-WH, together with Brno University of Technology and SVS FEM, focused on the efficient material feeding and minimizing pulsations to improve flame stability and quality.

MELSTAR is used for the pneumatic conveying of alternative fuels, particularly in  combustion processes, or for material transport in space-constrained situations where standard mechanical conveying systems cannot be used.

The uniqueness of the MELSTAR rotary feeder lies in its easy maintenance e, simple operation, and extended service life of heavily stressed components. Due to the rotary feeder principle, these components are exposed to high-velocity conveying gas required for pneumatic material transport. Therefore, highly wear-resistant materials such as Al2O3 are utilized

MELSTAR can be standardly used for conveying of alternative fuels up to a distance of 200 m, with a volumetric transport capacity of up to 220 m3/h or a mass flow rate of 27.5 t/h with maximum back pressure of the pneumatic pipeline of 400 mbar.
