RDF Intake and Storage Line

This project involved the turnkey delivery of a complete, fully functional technological system for receiving and storing solid alternative fuels. The solution was integrated into a newly built, comprehensive alternative fuel reception, storage, and dosing line at the Heidelberg Materials plant in Matera, Italy.

The material reception process is secured by high-capacity MELDOCK 5S docking stations, which accommodate trucks equipped with walking floor trailers. From the reception area, the material is transferred via a network of MELCON C chain conveyors into one of three automated MELKIN storage systems. A dedicated reclaiming mechanism then extracts the fuel from storage and feeds it into a MELCON S screw conveyor, which routes it through another MELCON C chain conveyor into the downstream dosing tower.

Our comprehensive scope of work spanned the initial solution design and engineering, equipment manufacturing and delivery, dedicated software development for the MELKIN system, and final commissioning.
